今年度から始まったMr.John先生の「English Board）」です。今年度も残すとことあと２ケ月。川越中学校の生徒のみなさんに英語に親しむ習慣をつくってもらおう！英語に触れる機会を増やしていこう！という目的においてEnglish BoardをJohn先生が毎回テーマを設定し、内容を工夫しながら一生懸命に作成してもらっています。川越中学校の中央階段下に掲示をしていますので、ぜひ足を止めてじっくりと見てほしいと思います。

Happy Valentine’s Day!  I hope everyone is staying warm and healthy with all this different weather we are experiencing.

 

Valentine’s Day is the focus of this month’s “English board”. I show the students a few of the differences between Japan and the US.  Some are only about Valentine’s Day for young people.  In addition, I made a survey about Hatsumode last month and I am continuing this month.  I want to know what day each student did it.  There is a marker and stickers for them to write the day (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc).  They can also write their name if they want to.

ハッピーバレンタインデー！ さまざまな天候が続いていますが、皆さんが暖かく健康に過ごしていただけることを願っています。

 

今月の「イングリッシュ・ボード」はバレンタインデーがテーマです。

私は生徒のみなさんに日本とアメリカの違いをいくつか示します。若者向けのバレンタインデーのみに関するものもあります。 また、先月は初詣に関するアンケートを実施し、今月も継続しています。生徒のみなさんが何日に初詣に行ったのか知りたいです。マーカーとステッカーがあるので、その日（1日、2日、3日など）を書くことができます。みなさんは必要に応じて、自分の名前を書くこともできます。

 

すでにステッカーを貼っていただいている皆さん、ありがとうございます！

 

【Mr.John先生の『（２月）English Circle』について】

Merry Christmas, everybody!   I hope everyone can enjoy Christmas and the New Year, safely and healthily.

 

Thanks to all the students who have participated in my “English Circle” over the last two months.  We have had many successful and fun sessions and there will be more to come.  Because of the “Parent-Teacher-Student” meetings (三者懇談会) next week and the semester ending on the 22nd, December has been a challenge to find days to schedule for the “Circle”.  I have found four days: the 6th (Friday) will be English Games, and 1st year students can practice for their speaking test, which will be early next year, on the 14th.

The other two days are the 19th and 20th but details have not been decided.  Ideas for these days could include a speaking practice for 2nd years or more practice for the 1st years, depending on demand for more practice.  Of course, we can do more English games or English videos and music about Christmas if we want.  Again, thanks to all the students who have come to “English Circle” already!

 

みなさん、メリークリスマス！ 皆さんが安全かつ健康にクリスマスと新年を過ごせることを願っています。

 

この 2 ｹ月間、私の「イングリッシュ・サークル」に参加してくださった生徒の皆さん、ありがとうございました。 私たちはこれまでに多くの成功した楽しいセッションを行ってきましたが、今後もさらに多くのセッションが行われるでしょう。

 

来週は「三者懇談会（三年生）」があり、22 日（木）に週末が終わるため、2 月は「イングリッシュ・サークル」の予定を入れる日を見つけるのが大変でした。４日間と決めていて、６日（火）は英語でゲームです。１年生は１４日（水）にスピーキングテストのための練習ができます。

残りの２日間は１９日（月）と２０日（火）だが詳細は未定です この日のアイデアとしては、さらなる練習の需要に応じて、2 年生にはスピーキングの練習、または 1 年生にはさらに練習を行うことを考えています。もちろん、必要に応じて、クリスマスに関する英語のゲームや英語のビデオや音楽をもっと見たりすることもできます。
